A bottle pour served neat in a Sutherland tasting glass, kindly provided by a relative who discovered it nearly full in his late grandfather's old collection. Had it remained sealed, it would fetch a significant sum on the market. As it is, we had an exceptional chance to sample a piece of history. The bottle appears identical to the one shown in this listing, with gold veins and so forth, but shows more wear. Quite remarkable. Incredibly smooth, with notes of caramel and apple peel; no noticeable harshness despite the high proof. A true delight. Experienced during Thanksgiving 2019 in Freehold, NJ.

A fantastic wheated bourbon, but seriously, the recent jump to $50 and the scarcity is ridiculous. The hype has turned a genuinely good bourbon into something not worth the hassle.
Tasted neat. Quite distinct from recent drinks. It's smooth, light, and very easy to enjoy, making other bourbons seem heavy and harsh.
Smell: Floral, like roses. Taste: Smooth, sweet, strong alcohol presence without significant burn. Aftertaste: Flavors linger, but the burn becomes noticeable.
A dependable pour. Aroma of oak, spice, and caramel. Definitely wheated, with a sweet taste and a pleasant warmth, finishing simply. Not extraordinary, but a reliable drink.
Thick and sweet, lacking strong spice or cinnamon. Notes of oak and brown sugar. Good warmth. Improves even more with a few drops of water.
