Acquired in the early 2010s. I had consumed several bottles but saved this one until last week. Sampled neat. Nose: Fruity sweet grain aroma, with a subtle ethanol presence. Initial taste: Big warm sweet cereal, vanilla, dried fruit, and an ethanol burst. Texture: Warm and viscous, soft and rich, with a warm red-copper hue in the glass. Finish: Spicy rye and pepper notes build into a long conclusion. Excellent flavor and value, though it has become more difficult to find and pricier than in the mid-2010s when I frequently used it for Manhattans. A soft, sweet wheated bourbon suitable for sipping, with a kick at 107 proof. I prefer the new bottle design over this rounded jug with a neck, but the contents appear unchanged. Still a quality wheated bourbon at an elevated alcohol percentage.

Classic tastes. So much better than the green label. Poured at the specified location. Tremendous classic bourbon nose.
Lots of maple and quite sweet. The burn is harsher than anticipated.
I really like this spirit.
Extremely smooth.
