Old Soul Straight Bourbon Whiskey Cask Strength (Local Vine Pick)

I should say this is a different photograph. This bourbon is from North Carolina. It's certainly one of the most disappointing bourbons for the cost I've experienced in a while. Extremely high proof, thin, and somewhat grainy. It tastes quite young, which makes sense given its very light color, particularly for a barrel proof. I can't suggest this one at all.

This bottle was selected by a store. I'm curious about the caramel and brown sugar scents. A different store's pick I tried previously wasn't close to this one's quality.

This bottle was selected by Total Wine. The alcohol's subtle smokiness is noticeable. It doesn't justify the price.
