Nose: Caramel and strawberry, reminiscent of a freshly opened can of strawberry Nesquik. A hint of pie crust is present, but the primary notes are red berries and caramel. It's pleasant and welcoming. Towards the end of the pour, the nose continued with berry and sweetness, evoking the sensation of popping Smarties in your mouth, but as an aroma. It's quite nice. Body: Thin to medium consistency. Palate: Initially a bit peppery, with cinnamon, caramel, and a subtle woodiness, similar to the scent of fresh loose-leaf paper, but if you placed a corner of that paper on your tongue. It's faint, yet the woodiness is discernible. Finish: As the first taste of the day, perhaps a bit subjective, but this had a surprisingly long finish considering how effortlessly it went down. Primarily long with caramel and red berry notes, plus a hint of tobacco leaf. Not bad. Note: A sample from a friend. Not my first encounter with this whiskey, but it's been a while since I last enjoyed it. Another dram I wished I had more of to truly explore, but this was light and sugary sweet. Enjoyable and easygoing.
