Easily the best of the monks. Nose is WARMED molasses, prunes, caramel, cinnamon, peppermint candy cane, coffee cake with extra crumble. Palate Dulce de Leche, buttery sugar frosting, mild hint of leathery sweet spice. Mouthfeel is pretty nonexistent; it's just a nicely smooth experience. You can tell the flavors aren't just from added sugars or extracts (if you check the old monk brand, they score low for added sugars). It's truly easy and smooth, so don't hesitate to add this to a nicer cocktail that could use some standout rum flavor. It's technically not even the most expensive of the 3 varieties, as it comes in a 1L bottle and works out to about $25/750ml. I seem to enjoy every Indian food or drink I've ever tried, and this is no exception. Nursing a scratch-made tomato sauce for Tikka as I write this!

Banana is the most prominent flavor, filling the mouth before giving way to oak and age. It's a bit peculiar to pour from a decanter shaped like an old man's head, though I must admit I find it quite appealing. It's a truly delightful glass to conclude a long evening before a demanding day.
