The aroma is full of charred oak, banana, and peanuts. It's quite clear where this originates, but it is well-developed and full-bodied. The nose seems somewhat basic, but the balance it offers creates anticipation for the taste. The palate does have some dryness and a kick of black pepper the longer it's held in the mouth. It can truly awaken your senses or be over quickly. The notes of charred oak, banana, and peanuts are definitely present. However, there's a distinct smoothness that makes it delicious and easy to drink, hitting the perfect bourbon sipping point. The finish is medium-long with lingering charred oak and banana, while peanut flavors fade somewhat. There's nothing overpowering about the finish, but it's exactly what one would desire for something that sips this well.
