The sip reveals a woody mahogany malt character, accompanied by dark berry flavors and black tea in the background, reminiscent of some ryes I've tasted. The finish lingers with oak, vanilla, and a formal, medicinal quality. It might be overpriced, but it possesses an elegance. A fine bottle to have on hand for moments when I want to relax with a drink and imagine myself as a historical figure or simply watch a show.
