A special thanks to Libby’s in Covington, KY and Lady Luck for arranging my visit on a Thursday, which happens to be half-off dusty bottles night. This 1oz pour was only $19, which I consider a great value. Bottle Date: 1973 Aroma: musty, lemon, vanilla, sour pear. Body: vanilla and sweet tarts. A very pleasant grainy texture. The pear flavor is present. I also detect peach. Finish: fruity and sweet. No heat or burn. If I had to identify a heat component, it would be baking spice. However, it's primarily a sour-to-sweet fruity experience. It's delicious and remarkably distinct from anything I've tasted before. Quite good. While I don't actively seek out dusty bottles, if this drink is representative of the dusty experience, I understand the appeal.

Aroma presents green apple and caramel. The palate carries a whisper of that familiar musty walnut sweetness, similar to Blanton's, but with a richer, more coating sweetness akin to sweet tea brewed with agave. This syrupy sweetness persists into the finish, evoking freshly mown grass, before a final return of green apple. I thoroughly enjoyed this pour. I was lucky to discover it at the Silver Dollar in Louisville. Sadly, it is no longer produced. I hold the Silver Dollar in high regard; the service was both helpful and pleasant, lacking the pretentiousness often found at esteemed bourbon establishments.

Nose- cherry and vanilla Body- dry cherry, pear (thanks to a friend), and a light black pepper bitterness Finish- birch bark bitterness leads to dark chocolate notes I really like this. A certain brand is legitimate!

Aroma: aged leather, wood, and a hint of caramel. Taste: leather and some vanilla. Definitely has an aged taste. Quite uninspired. Aftertaste: hints of aged tobacco.
