Hector Lai 4.8

Pale in appearance, yet powerfully flavored. Notes of oak, apple/pear, honey, pepper, spice, and vanilla/butterscotch. The smoke was so intense it felt like smoking a cigar. Truly amazing. With a bit more complexity, it would be a perfect score. Ardbeg Uigeadail surpasses this for that reason and costs half as much. Nevertheless, this was fantastic and a true pleasure to experience.

Kasey Valladares 5.0

Complex with smoky, salty notes, yet also sweet, woody, medicinal, and a lengthy finish. Perhaps some chocolate, burnt sugar, and earthy tones. Possibly burnt honey. The finest scotch I've ever had.
