An exquisite Blended Malt Scotch by Alexander Murray & Co., composed of whiskies from Ireland and Scotland (Highland, Speyside, Lowland & Islay), bottled at 43% ABV without an age statement. It begins with an aromatic bouquet of grains, wood, fruit, herbs & spices; its full & elegant development introduces notes of green apple, shortbread, malt, heather & caramel; culminating in a balanced, medium-length conclusion with hints of oak & a whisper of peat smoke. A richer conclusion than I recall: similar to Werther's Original Hard Caramel Candy.
