Oak & Eden Wheat & Spire - Spire Select Amburana Wood

This whiskey has an aromatic beginning with notes of grain, fruit, wood, and spice. Its rich character adds notes of wheat, candied fruit, caramel, oak, and vanilla, leading to a complex and warm finish of medium length with rye notes. January 2023.

Very intriguing, with some unique aromas I couldn't identify, followed by a cinnamon kick. I'll liken the finish to a Maker's Mark Private Selection. Not too bad at all, and as usual, I had it neat.

The nose was mostly ethanol, with little flavor. The taste had lots of cinnamon and oak, with some vanilla to moderate. It was smoother than the taste would suggest. Certainly distinctive.

Extremely smooth.
