The nose presents light oak smoke and leather. This is a beautiful and full-flavored bourbon with smoke and wood notes, making it an amazing sipper. Coffee appears only at the end, and it's wonderfully present, not overwhelming like flavored whiskies; it's just enough to be appreciated, and I truly appreciate it. It lingers on the palate with a tobacco and black coffee combination, and it's exceptionally good. I will definitely buy the barrel proof version of this.

About this bottle
Texas-based Oak & Eden specializes in "in-bottle finishing," a technique involving the insertion of a spire, a spiral-cut piece of wood, into a completed bottle of whiskey. Bourbon & Brew is part of the Infused Series, featuring spires of varying wood types and infusions. This expression uses a bourbon whiskey aged at least three years. A French oak spire, infused with cold brew coffee prepared at Voltage Coffee Project in Denton, Texas, is then placed inside the bottle. The suggested retail price is $59.99.

Requires revisiting as it was sampled at a gathering, but the coffee notes were well-integrated and not overpowering. After considerable time, it has mellowed considerably, achieving a score of around 3.
Unimpressive for me, with very little finish. The sensory experience is lacking; it's likely best suited as a cocktail ingredient.
Crème brûlée. Toasted notes. Coffee liqueur. It's excellent.
