Nose - fresh and sharp, with vanilla, green apple, hints of spice, and a touch of pine sap. Taste - crisp, with light sweetness and vanilla, some spice towards the end, and a bit of tang from tannins. Finish - more spice and some dryness, with some warmth at the end.

Oak and Grist Blended Malt Whiskey (Release #3) marks the third bottling in Oak and Grist Distilling Company's Stripling Series, with each iteration capped at 2,500 bottles or less. All grains were sourced from the region, and the entire process from production to maturation occurred at the Black Mountain, NC distillery, which began operations in 2015. This whiskey is presented at 50% ABV in a 375ml container.

Still a fairly new distiller. This is reflected in the tasting notes. Not too complex. Apricot, vanilla, and caramel. Made using locally sourced barley.
