Nulu Toasted Rye Single Barrel Select (First Fill Spirits)

This is consistently among my top toasted whiskeys. The aroma is toasted with standard rye baking spices and some herbaceous notes like clove. The palate drinks much lighter than its stated proof. Sweet rye baking spice is the primary flavor. However, the complexity includes clove, toast, char, oak, grain, and a touch of white pepper. It all harmonizes to create a lengthy finish. Each time I open this bottle, a new characteristic stands out to me. This bottle has been open for six months with around 10 pours removed. This single barrel is exceptional.
