NULU Reserve Straight Bourbon

First taste from a new bottle, this is the California exclusive selection. The aroma is dominated by oak and ethanol, but sweet honey notes emerge. The taste begins spicy with cinnamon, oak, and apple. A dry sensation persists, with smooth vanilla appearing in the middle. The conclusion is sudden, with more spice. Overall, the taste is a mix of apple, vanilla, oak, and cinnamon. The noticeable spice is likely due to the 114 proof. It's a good bottle, but not exceptional.

Aroma: alcohol, subtle brown sugar, notes of barrel spice Taste: Slightly toasted brown sugar and caramel are noticeable at the start, but not intensely. The finish features barrel spice with a warming sensation. I appreciate a warming finish. Overall: I enjoy this bottle. It's not my absolute favorite, but it's certainly not lacking. It's a reasonably good pour that is satisfying.

Aged 100 proof from Missouri. Smells of light oak, honey, and a spirited fruit blend, with some baked spice. Sweet raspberry and strawberry upfront, followed by honey. Mid-palate has baking spices, and the finish lingers with berry and a hint of honeydew melon. A delightful pour.

Nose: Subtle for the alcohol content, with notes of light brown sugar, vanilla bean, and some ethanol astringency. P: Dry wood is the dominant flavor, with a small amount of sweetness quickly disappearing into overwhelmingly dry wood spice as the bottle aged. Tx1 edition - enjoyed it less as the bottle depleted.

A very satisfying drink. The aroma has charred oak and caramel with a whisper of cherry. The taste is fruitier with a touch of heat and burnt sugar. The finish is warm and lasts a while.

Nose: A bit sticky, reminiscent of a lovely Kroger flower arrangement. Floral notes with some fruit. Palate: Tastes like Kraft vanilla pudding from a plastic spoon, with a trace, just a trace, of caramel syrup drizzled in.
