Alphonso Rosas 3.8

A wonderful aroma! Quite fruity, with notes of butterscotch, coffee, chocolate, cooked dark fruit, and leather. Palate delivers spice with a touch of heat, plus cherry and cigar. It's very sweet and buttery. Ending features toffee, burnt sugar, baked apples, cocoa, and perhaps curry powder right at the close. The finish is exceptionally long. This expression is intensely sherried. It offers warmth, though it's a bit fiery throughout. The sherry's sweetness really brightens and smooths it. Perfect for cooler weather. It leans a bit too much towards molasses for easy drinking, but it's delightful for quiet contemplation. It was voted the top whisky out of the six tasted, receiving 43% (18 votes) of the preference poll.
