The aroma is strongly reminiscent of port, almost as if it were a port wine. It then develops slightly to reveal a hint of char. It has a pleasant spiciness and a very faint tartness that leads into the finish. The finish is reasonably long and lingers, but not unpleasantly.

Upon a second try, the aroma is more expressive. The port aroma is accompanied by more spice and pepper. The palate delivers pepper and spice, complemented by pleasant charred oak. The finish lingers but is gentle.
The aroma is strongly rye! A hint of bitterness is also detected. Oak is prominent initially, followed by a cherry pie filling sweetness. Rye is present throughout. Interesting spice notes emerge in the finish.
Wonderful aroma. First time I’ve preferred the scent over the flavor, and the flavor was excellent. Peppery.
I found it watery, with the only noticeable depth of flavor being rubbing alcohol. It's baffling how it received any accolades.
Virginia, you've fooled me for the last time
