Crowded Barrel Texas Whiskey Festival Blend

While exploring whiskey, I discovered some influential YouTube channels that provided substantial knowledge about spirits. Upon relocating to Texas, I became aware of several excellent distilleries in the state through them. When I learned that a specific individual had developed a blend for the Texas Whiskey Festival using some of the state's finest spirits, available exclusively at their distillery in Austin, I felt compelled to try it. The blend comprises whiskies from multiple distilleries. The aroma offers a delightful combination of corn, sweet barley, and a hint of smoke. The palate delivers more body from the single malt component, a creamy sensation, and lingering smoke at the end. The finish is exceptionally long, with a gentle warmth from the corn whiskey and high proof, gradually transitioning into baking spices. This blend could be considered a rare find, created for a single event and unlikely to reappear. However, it is exceptionally good while available. Each constituent spirit is of high quality individually, but together they create a Texas-style spirit comparable to the work of a renowned Scotch blender. Cheers!

Vanilla, dark cherries and molasses on the nose, like Cherry coke. The taste is dry, with more vanilla, and corn dust that finishes with a subtle peat peaking through barrel bitters and cherry.

Aroma: cinnamon, vanilla, raisins, plum, dark fruit Taste: salty, leather, oak Finish: dark cherry

Earthy notes. Initially not a fan upon tasting, but grew on me after a few sips.
