This spirit's lower alcohol content seems to be preventing it from having the same flavorful depth found in more potent bottlings of this age from the same distillery. It offers truly distinctive mineral notes, quite uncommon and unlike the characteristics of peat from Islay or Highland regions. It also presents pleasant wine notes. However, it's just excessively watered down. I'd be keen to sample a stronger proof of this.
