The aroma is very mild and features notes of barley, straw, and oak with a touch of honey. Hints of leather and smoke soon emerge, all contributing to the unmistakable impression of malt whiskey. The palate is similarly mild with slight hints of white pepper, barley, straw, oak, and a touch of vanilla. It could certainly benefit from a higher proof, as the flavors seem somewhat subdued. The finish is brief, with all the flavors converging and fading away a little too rapidly.
