The taste is fiery and peppery, and packed with toasted wood. It's quite sharp with rye, overshadowing everything else. It's very straightforward, but enjoyable in its plainness. The finish is long and spicy with a tingling heat that stays. A slight woody dryness fades and while it's a bit much, you're instantly ready for another drink.
