Joshua Rosenberg 4.0

I received this sample as a present from a friend who is part of the NBSC. It was selected by K-9 Unit. This exhibits the ideal level of heat one anticipates from a rye. The aroma was quite agreeable, sweet with notes of baking spices, but the initial taste delivered a burst of citrus! The conclusion was highly gratifying, leaving my palate moist and eager for more. This ranks quite highly among my preferred ryes.

Liam Brand 4.0

Beautiful, mellow, light, subtle, and remarkably fruity. Reminds me of cherry and grape. Also has notes of yeast and dough. The finish has a pleasant warmth; this is truly delightful. A scotch that would appeal to bourbon drinkers, definitely.

From a store selection at Max's Bottle Shop in John's Creek, GA, my neighborhood shop. Superb. 95/5 MGP Rye aged 8 years at cask strength. Notes of herbs, plenty of oak tannins, and a big warm embrace. Delicious.

Alexandra Edmondson 4.0

Sampled neat at the distillery. This is a single barrel intended for the Texas market. It possesses a sweet and velvety character, with hints of corn and molasses. For a rye, it drinks smoothly.

Isaiah Stockton 3.8

A sample of a barrel selection of this rye tasted like a popular soda. This might be among the finest ryes I have sampled.

Chris Coon 3.5

Tasted neat at the distillery. This is a 'V' selection, 9 years old. Flavors of cinnamon candy, a burning sensation in the throat, corn, and vanilla.
