Nashville Barrel Single Barrel Straight Bourbon (Welcome to Nashville)

*** IRON MAN *** Nose - Abundant maple syrup, honey, molasses. Very rich and syrupy sweet. Some very deep vanilla and caramel notes. This is such a delicious dessert-like nose. Palate - A lot of cinnamon and baking spice. It's not without sweetness though. There are some underlying tones of vanilla and some powerful notes of oak and leather. Quite substantial. Finish - Some barrel spice, oak, and leather really. Some honey lingers, not potent enough to be vanilla.

A wave of maple and molasses hits you. This bourbon feels syrupy and overly sweet. It fills the mouth, thick and a little rough. So much heat. A long cinnamon finish. It would be excellent for cocktails but is too sweet and hot for me to drink straight.

Attractive color... a sour mash aroma on the nose... sweet caramel... tastes sweet... rich caramel flavor... a sour mash finish...
