A refined, pure malt Japanese Whisky from the Nagahama Distillery, Japan's smallest, situated by Lake Biwa and blending Japanese and Scottish methods. It opens with citrus, stone fruit, tropical fruit, herbs, and spices. The rich body reveals notes of white peach, caramel, cotton candy, chocolate, and orange zest, leading to a long, balanced finish. Sampled April/August 2022.
