Emilia Monk 3.0

Appearance: The color is deeper than expected, like tawny leather. The legs are extremely thin, almost nonexistent, and run back into the whiskey quickly. Nose: The overall aroma is very dessert-like, with notes of cinnamon, brown sugar, caramel, chocolate fudge, and dark cherry, balanced by a hint of polyurethane varnish. Taste: The palate doesn't quite live up to the nose's promise. It offers notes of cream soda, orange, peach, and snickerdoodle cookies, along with an unidentifiable bitter taste. Finish: Starting with that peculiar bitter note from the taste, the finish is short to medium in length with a citrusy, root beer-like tang. Thoughts: Overall, I enjoy this whiskey. It has moments of being robust and 'spikey,' but also times of being pleasant and easy-going. It felt like something an old-west outlaw might drink. I might not repurchase it, but I'd gladly drink it if offered. It would be a good whiskey for camping with friends. Thanks to the producers for this offering! Cheers!

The aroma is undoubtedly sweet and spicy, with a taste that generally resembles a smooth cinnamon bun. The finish isn't long in sweetness, but rather offers a faint citrus impression. It's highly quaffable. Nevertheless, for sipping, I seek greater intricacy. Excellent value at less than $20! I discovered this in South Carolina; it's not available in North Carolina.

Unusual sugary nail polish. Cool container, though.
