Penelope American Whiskey Cigar Series: Chapter 1

Nose: chocolate, vanilla, and a little candied apple, dark fruit Palate: chocolate, dried fruit or peach, spice, caramel or toffee, dark fruit and light oak

Sampled twice over two nights. It's a bit sweet and unremarkable. I didn't pair it with a cigar and won't purchase a bottle at this cost if the claim is that it's "better with a cigar."

Excellent when paired with a cigar after a golf game with friends or for sipping on the porch. It was intended for pairing and effectively achieved its intended goal.

A friend's new bottle. I had the second pour, and it was sweeter than the first two times I sampled it from a bottle that was half empty.

Quite enjoyable with a spicy kick

Sweet vanilla and cocoa notes.
