A pleasantly smoky whisky, not from smoking the grain like scotch but more of a barbecue smoke. Makes a wonderful Old Fashioned when paired with smoked maple syrup and aromatic bitters.
It's just excessively smoky for my taste. Even when mixed, it doesn't sufficiently mellow. I might consider using it as a marinade for barbecue.
I enjoy the smoky aroma and the taste is reminiscent of BBQ. It's certainly not for everyone.
Overpowering smokehouse notes. This isn't my preferred taste profile for a beverage.
Intense, heavy smoke flavor. Smells like a campfire.
Enjoyable, but it can be overwhelming if you're not in the right frame of mind.
