The new American oak casks, as opposed to the usual ex-bourbon ones, seem to dominate the palate with a pronounced woody character. Beyond that, it appears to be a malt of good character.

Sweet vanilla aroma. Slightly earthy. Honey-colored. Starts sweet with a lingering fruity finish. A smooth drink. I would have it again.
