Dana Mccoy 2.0

On its own, this tastes like a cheap but decent grape soda mixed with a shot of inexpensive brandy. For the price, the experience isn't terrible, but the main issue is its excessive sweetness. It's not immediately overwhelming, but after a few sips, depending on your sugar tolerance, it becomes so. I can tolerate it. I finished my first can without dilution, though it was challenging, especially given the low-quality ingredients, which didn't motivate me to finish it. Adding some mineral water worked wonders, eliminating the cognac flavor and making it taste like a grape soda I could easily drink. With two shots per can, I'll accept it. Ultimately, Purple Crush Monaco is an acceptable, albeit overly sweet, way to get a quick buzz. With more refined ready-to-drink options available at a slightly higher price point offering 13%+ ABV, the weaker Monaco offerings seem to be in trouble. While I might still occasionally purchase the Mango Peach and Lime Margarita Monaco flavors, I'm less inclined to buy this one. It's primarily for fans of grape soda or those seeking a rapid intoxication. It's drinkable, but not something to be savored.
