Mischief Storm Tossed Rye Captain Sig Hansen F/V Northwestern This expression of Mischief rye offers less heat compared to others. It's reasonably smooth and well-proportioned, although the mineral notes persist a bit too much. The profile leans towards a mineral-floral character with a subtle richness underneath. A whisper of hazelnut is present but very faint. The complexity is lacking, and the taste is rather unimpressive. While the reduced spice is welcome, it largely resembles a budget scotch.

The flavor is quite sweet with ample spice and mild nutty and caramel notes. Predominantly spicy, unfortunately, and it retains a mineral quality. I might be able to sip this, but it wouldn't be particularly enjoyable.
