I'm not sure if I've ever had moonshine before. When I lived in Ireland, we would visit relatives in the countryside. An older family member would make their own poitin and gave me a bottle. Back then, with a group of 8 to 12 of us drinking at any one time, we'd consume almost anything, but that stuff, at 70-80% alcohol or whatever it was, was something that stopped us in our tracks. This is interesting... there's a lot to dislike about it; it has a sweet and sour malty quality, almost like gin, but for some reason, I can't stop drinking it. It's really strange... I genuinely don't know how much I could consume of this, but I have a feeling it would lead to a wild night if I tried!
