Felecia Stjohn 4.8

The aroma begins with ripe fruit and burnt wood, though the wood has a distinct earthiness that lends it more depth. Next, fresh, sweet bread appears, with hints of molasses contributing background sweetness. The taste immediately presents vanilla, then ripe fruit and charred oak, as traces of rice spice come through. The earthiness is noticeable, adding a profound flavor quality that blends vanilla with an elusive note. It has a substantial body and seems much more mature than its 6.5 years. The finish is lengthy and earthy, with that unidentifiable component maintaining a mouth full of taste, along with abundant vanilla and a touch of spice. This is quite remarkable to drink and even superior once it's had time to breathe. It resembles vintage bourbons I've experienced rather than contemporary offerings.
