McFarlane's Reserve 13

A robust, Cask Strength Kentucky Straight Bourbon made with wheat in addition to the standard corn & barley mash bill, filtered through Kentucky limestone water, and aged for at least 13 years before a finishing in Cabernet Sauvignon casks. It starts with an aromatic profile of grains, dried dark fruits, wood & spices; the flavor develops into fruity notes of cherry & blackberry; concluding with a rich, medium-length finish of vanilla, chocolate & oak. Sampled at a liquor store. Aromas of cabernet barrel, berries, grape, caramel, vanilla, oak, and char. Oak, cabernet barrel, pepper, vanilla, and grape on the palate. A sweet finish.
