Appearance: This American blended whiskey was a russet muscat shade, darker than caramel. Its legs were medium but the most watery I've ever observed. Nose: The aroma lacked complexity, presenting caramel, oak, vanilla, and Smarties candy, with an odd hint of Buddig turkey lunchmeat. A bit of water revealed a subtle nutty tobacco scent. Taste: The flavor was also straightforward, featuring sweet corn, caramel, and cherry candy. Adding water made it duller, tasting like tepid almond milk. Finish: Surprisingly, there was no heat, but it was brief and unsatisfying. Thoughts: Without knowing what it was, I'd guess it was a bourbon. It doesn't warrant a fan club or merchandise, yet it exceeded my expectations. It was acceptable on its own and pleasant in a hot toddy. Thanks to McCormick Distilling! Cheers!
