Actually had the 9 year at 49.5 abv. Wonderful nose of sweet oak. Palate started sweet and quickly turned earthy with grass and dusty hay ending with long rye spiciness. After adding a bit of water spearmint and alum appeared as well.

Nose: Vanilla and a touch of corn. Taste: Alcohol is strong on the palate, suitable for cocktails. Finish: Lingering strong pepper notes.
Smells of banana and spice; the palate has vanilla, cinnamon, and spice. It's smooth with a long, spicy finish.
A lighter taste of rye, with a character somewhat like Scotch.
