Maker's Mark Private Selection (SBS German Chocolate Cake)

This is a bourbon with a medium proof and a sweet profile. The aroma is reminiscent of frosting, and the initial bite is moderate. The body offers a pleasant mocha spice with a hint of brown sugar, alongside notes of smoke and vanilla. It's highly complex, concluding with a robust dark chocolate finish at 90%. It brings to mind Linda's Fudge Cake from The Cheesecake Factory, where the chocolate chips are dark on the finish, but the frosting and cake are lighter and sweeter. In summary, it's exceptionally distinctive and a unique bottle to experience.

Consistently smooth, with flavors that evolve over a long period. Initially, there's a strong sweetness of butter and caramel, which then transitions into flavors of semi-sweet dark coffee and dark chocolate. The finish provides a strong mocha / hot chocolate sensation with a pleasant creaminess. An excellent bourbon with nice sweetness and a great, complex finish.

The aroma is rich chocolate fudge. The palate is creamy dark chocolate fudge, reminiscent of costco chocolate fudge cake. The finish is incredibly long, it just keeps going. I also detect notes of coffee mocha; it's very creamy.
