Sipped neat in a Glencairn: The nose is potent with menthol, but also contains caramel, vanilla, dry oak, and citrus zest. The palate presents cherry, leather, charred wood, and a hint of honey. The finish is brief but impactful, featuring delightful dark fruit and more leather.
A strong initial burn gives way to a caramel and vanilla finish. Overall, very smooth.
The taste is of molasses and sweet nuts, with a burn to finish.
