Maker's Mark Cask Strength Batch 21-08 (112.5 Proof)

A very enjoyable pour. The aroma presents cherry pie, vanilla, baking spices, crème brûlée, and just enough ethanol to serve as a reminder of its nature. The palate starts with spice that mellows nicely, blending into flavors that echo the nose, complemented by sweet fruit and a hint of herbal bitterness. The finish is medium to long, dominated by spice and bright fruit. Fantastic!

Nose: alcohol-forward, fruity, vanilla frosting Palate: baking spices, caramel, vanilla Finish: cinnamon, orange peel More citrusy and spicy than the typical Maker's Mark. A bit thin in texture, but it thickens slightly with a few drops of water.
