A robust, Sherry-matured Macduff single malt, independently bottled by Ian Macleod for their Chieftain's series. This was distilled in June 1991 and aged for 26 years in a single Sherry butt, bottled in June 2017 with 730 bottles produced. It starts with aromatic notes of red wine gums, lemongrass, stewed plums & oily walnut; develops into rich flavors of plum, caramel, dark coffee & thyme honey; leading to a prolonged finish with notes of oak & chocolate truffle.
