An excellent rye. Not found in shops. I've heard they're discontinuing it to focus on their rum. It's a pity, as I believe they should also make space for this one.

About this bottle
Lyon Distilling began operations in late 2013 in Maryland. While the distillery produces rum, it also crafts rye whiskey, reflecting its location. This grain-to-glass facility uses a mash bill composed of 55% rye, 35% corn, and 10% 6-row malted barley. Following distillation, the rye is aged for less than a year in new American oak barrels, specifically 1-gallon size, with a level #3 char. Minor variations may occur as this product is created in batches; the reviewed sample was from Batch #1.

Intriguing. This was a very, very small batch; my bottle was number 122 of batch 2. It's complex, but quite young.
