Appearance: Clear. Aroma: Light piney and fragrant resin with just a hint of noticeable ethanol. Taste & Texture: Sweet (as expected) but slightly less sweet than some other mastic liqueurs. There's again an ethanol hint noticeable, just as in the nose, but it's not really intrusive; it just gives the liqueur a dry profile. The texture is fairly thick and sugary, but not unpleasantly so. It has no particularly off notes, but the overall impression is of a very simple and generic drink. There are definite ethanol and fragrant components present, and they tend to remain separate, whereas in a higher quality liqueur they would seem more integrated. No real complaints or faults – if I were served this as a digestif at a cafe, I wouldn't complain, but it's not one I'd choose to buy if other options were available. It's just plainly average. "Average": 75/100 (2.5 stars)
