About this bottle

Springbank's distillation operation, Longrow, is part of its wood exploration series. This expression rested for eight years in former bourbon barrels before an additional two years in ex-Tokaji wine casks. Tokaji is a sweet Hungarian dessert wine, comparable to Sauternes, derived from grapes affected by noble rot.

A confusing aroma! Sweet, but very strange. Definitely tastes like wine. A thick, spiced texture on the tongue. The finish is spicy yet has a dark, odd quality and is mild. What an unusual spirit!

Notes of leather and oak.
