Giovanna Larios 3.3

Aroma: Walnut, very light peat, toffee, burnt caramel, vanilla. Hints of sweet berries. Taste: Banana candy, berry sweetness, strawberry children's candy, artificial strawberry flavoring (like low-quality strawberry ice cream). There are hints of char and very light dry peat. Finish: Medium-long. Darker notes than the palate, with more oak, leather, black tea, and dried dates. The aftertaste has dried fruit (dates/figs), oak, and leather. Sweet and sour, burnt caramel, and treacle. Oloroso sherry hogsheads Croftengea spirit from Loch Lomond 500ml bottle I typically do not favor Loch Lomond whiskies, but an independent bottler can make it work well; this is another instance where that is true. The bottler has done a commendable job with this whisky. It tied for second place among the six samples, receiving 14% of the vote for the night's favorite. 71% of attendees indicated they enjoyed the whisky.
