Dominique Monroy 3.5

This is one of 511 bottles and another piece of history. It originated from one of Scotland's oldest distilling sites, established in 1772. Despite a history of various owners, bankruptcies, periods of inactivity, and closure in 1996, followed by a fire in 2004 shortly after being sold to a developer, I managed to get a deal at cost price to try it. Thankfully, as a single dram cost over $30 USD even then. It has pleasant, subtle notes of vanilla, honey, and a slight nuttiness. I rate it 3.5. It's nice, but not worth $600 USD.

Alia Albert 4.0

Light tart apple on the nose. Rich brown sugar, raspberry, and spice on the palate.
