Diana Guinn 4.5

The aroma presented characteristic lowland whisky notes: chocolate, creamy and spicy. Hints of lemon pie, smores, and cookie dough, plus oranges and peaches. After the initial taste, the scent was all pepper and chocolate. On the palate, it was pure chocolate with very tart orange peel. It was searing and potent. The second taste brought to mind an Argentinian alfajor. The aftertaste offered dulce de leche, a searing ginger spice tea with potent, pleasant spiciness, Sprite soda, grated coconut, and cornstarch. Truly amazing. Overall, this was fantastic, packed with flavor and quite sweet, like a friar's soul. It's a fine expression to honor the "father of scotch whisky." Everything is so sweet it verges on being overwhelming. A remarkable expression, I rated it 91 out of 100.
