Single cask Sherry 17-year Bowmore..... really looking forward to tasting it...... Nose: ocean air, salty, citrus rind, cocoa, burnt sugar, dulce de leche, American ginseng, botanical hints, dried fruit, sugar syrup, black tea/Darjeeling tea, or perhaps Oolong? Sweetener, dark sweetener. Some nuttiness. Taste: sugary, dark fruit/berries, tea, certainly the sherry essence - cocoa and burnt sugar. Possibly cooked fruit? Finish: wow!A novel experience for me! A persistent ginseng essence! The smokiness has faded. Unsure if this is beneficial for Bowmore? Nevertheless, a quality bottle for sure.

Sweet with a hint of peat smoke. Aroma: chocolate, maple syrup, liquorice, ginseng, raisin, dried fruit, perhaps a whisper of cinnamon? Almond. I also detect a pear note. Shellfish, sea breeze. Additionally, a touch of peat smoke. This bottle contains a complex profile, encompassing sweetness, spiciness, savory elements, and peat smoke. Tasting: pear, chocolate, liquorice. Finish: liquorice and ginseng in the finish. It's warming and long-lasting.
