Lepanto brandies are all distilled and aged in Jerez, with many aging exclusively in that location. This particular brandy is distilled from Palomino grapes and matures in a solera system that previously held Tio Pepe fino sherry, with an average age of 9 years. Subsequently, the brandy undergoes an additional 3 years of aging in ex-Matusalem Oloroso sherry casks.

This brandy, typical of the Jerez style, shows nice influences from Fino and Oloroso sherry casks and is stated as 12 years old. The 36% ABV for the European market is a bit weak and on the low side; it is bottled at 40% ABV for the USA. Dangerously smooth.
Very good. It has aromas of berries and toffee, with baking spices following on the palate.
