The malted barley in the mashbill is evident on both the aroma and the palate. It presents a pleasant, fresh grassy flavor alongside typical Bourbon characteristics. This expression stands out due to its unique mashbill, featuring 20% malted barley as the secondary grain, a combination I haven't encountered before. I appreciate Bourbons that offer something different, as many share very similar flavor profiles, and this one met my expectations. Cheers!

Notes of grass, malted grains, bread, and yeast. It brings to mind the Westland ASM. Raw and wonderful. It avoids the common one-dimensional bourbon notes of caramel, vanilla, and oak. The focus is on the mashbill rather than just the barrel, unlike most American whiskeys. Delightful.

Subtle corn and honey on the nose, with a touch of alcohol warmth. The body is light, and the flavors mirror the aroma, perhaps with a hint of light apricot and a lingering alcohol burn on the upper palate, accompanied by a gentle warmth in the chest.

Tasting neat: The nose presents honeydew, dried vanilla, and a touch of allspice alongside fragrant wood and apricot. The palate reveals toasted wood and butterscotch, with subtle hints of savory meat and honey. The finish is intense and long.

Nose: Faint vanilla, oak Palate: Flavorful, pear, followed by baking spices Finish: Moderate, smooth, spicy at the end. Overall very enjoyable. I would purchase it again.
