This 42-year-old whisky originated from distillation in 1972 at Tobermory Distillery, where Ledaig represents their peated spirit. It initially matured in bourbon barrels, followed by a finishing period in sherry casks from Gonzalez-Byass. Bottled non-chill filtered at 92.6 proof, its global production was limited to 500 bottles, with 100 allocated to the United States. The name Dùsgadh translates from Gaelic to “awakening”.

Can we find a different top contender, everyone? This one is clearly a rare statistical outlier that's hard to get, and honestly, I'm tired of seeing it presented as an unobtainable antique bottle that you'll never encounter. Got it? Great.
