Ledaig 1997 20 Year Cask Strength (Alexander Murray & Co.)

Strong peat, bandages, and iodine on the aroma, with hints of faint burnt rubber and stone fruit. The palate offers burnt rubber, peat, and stone fruits, with a spicy, buttery, and full body. The lengthy finish carries peat smoke and some sweet and savory elements. There's a slight bitterness that fades after a couple of minutes. Adding a bit of water just seemed to dull everything and didn't improve it.

This is the finest whiskey I have ever tasted. It’s like peaty, smoked barbecue.
